Is SaaS Hive quietly the better community for genuine engagement?
Launched Banalo on product hunt today, but honestly, i'm getting better traction here on saas hive.
Not sure if that's just me being new to both platforms, or if this community genuinely has more people who want to actually engage rather than just scroll and upvote.
Curious if others have felt the same difference between the two.
Still figuring out how both platforms actually work, so would genuinely love your honest opinion on this.
Does saas hive tend to have deeper engagement, or did i just get lucky with the people who saw my post?

I cannot say much about the Product Hunt community, but when I tried launching there, I unfortunately didn’t have much success 🤷🏻♂️.
One of the success factors there is being active in the community. I tried posting, but 9 out of 10 posts I published were declined 😐. Possibly because they assumed I was trying to promote my product. But even when I wasn’t, my posts were still declined. So I left.
Usually, the way communities work is - when you publish meaningful posts and reply with meaningful comments on other people’s posts, you get noticed and people usually reciprocate.
I'm biased obviously, but I think the honest answer is that it's mostly scale. SaaS Hive is small enough that people actually read posts instead of scrolling past them. PH has far more traffic, which means far more competition for attention on any given day.
So it's not that one is better, they're doing different things. Glad the engagement has been useful for you though, Sahil.
I think the difference is less about the platform itself and more about the intent it creates. Product Hunt is excellent for a concentrated launch moment; a smaller founder community gives people room to ask follow-up questions and compare what is actually working. The useful test is whether those conversations turn into repeat visitors, feedback, or customers after the initial launch day.
I personally love it when people are open, sincere, and authentic.
It is usually pretty easy to tell when a question was written with AI just to promote a product, and when a real person is actually asking a question.
So I really hope that here on SaaS Hive, we will have less AI-generated content and more real, human conversations.
I think that is also what makes a community interesting.
