SaaS Hive Code of Conduct

This is a founder community. That means everyone here is building something, figuring things out, and could use a little support along the way. These guidelines exist to keep this space useful, honest, and worth showing up to.

Be a real person. Talk like you would to another founder over coffee. Share what you're building, what's working, what's not. Skip the corporate pitch voice. This is person-to-person.

Lead with curiosity. Ask questions. Give feedback when someone asks for it. If someone shares their app, try it before you comment. Thoughtful beats generic every time.

No fake engagement. Don't ask people to upvote your product in exchange for upvoting theirs. Don't create multiple accounts. Don't coordinate reviews. We have systems in place to catch this, and it'll get your account flagged.

Keep it honest. If you're sharing your product, describe what it actually does today. Not what it might do in six months. If you have a relationship with a product you're reviewing or recommending, say so.

Be helpful, not salesy. You can absolutely share your product here. That's the whole point. But make it relevant to the conversation. A cold pitch with no context doesn't help anyone, and people can tell the difference.

No spam or self-promo blasts. One intro post about your product is great. Posting it in every thread is not. Same goes for Discord links, affiliate links, or anything that feels like you're just trying to drive traffic.

Respect the people here. No harassment, hate speech, personal attacks, or trolling. Disagree on ideas all day long, but keep it about the work, not the person.

Keep competitor talk classy. You can talk about how you're different. You don't need to talk about why someone else is worse. Everyone deserves a place under the sun, we just do it differently.

What happens if you break the rules? We'll reach out first. Most of the time it's a simple conversation. If it's repeated or intentional, we may remove content, restrict posting, or suspend your account. If you think a decision was wrong, you can contact us and a different team member will review it.

When in doubt, ask yourself: "Would I want to be on the receiving end of this?" If yes, post it. If not, maybe rethink.

Welcome to the Hive. We're glad you're here.
