Getting Started with SaaS Hive

Everything you need to know before you launch.

    What is SaaS Hive?

SaaS Hive is a launch and discovery platform that helps SaaS founders announce their product to the people who are actually looking for it. That includes users browsing categories, reading reviews, and comparing tools, and the AI search engines those users increasingly ask for recommendations, like ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini, and Google AI Overviews.

On launch day, your product gets featured in the New Launches, and all users who signed up to receive updates about new tools in your category get notified. After launch day, SaaS Hive keeps working. It surfaces your product in category searches, comparison pages, and AI recommendations. It keeps your reviews accumulating. It keeps your structured data feeding AI engines that are deciding what to recommend right now.

SaaS Hive is also a founder community. You join a network of builders for support, feedback, and connection on what you're shipping.

Every product page on SaaS Hive is built with structured data (Schema.org JSON-LD: SoftwareApplication, Offer, Review, Organization, FAQPage) that AI crawlers can read on day one. When ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, or Gemini decides which products to surface in an answer, your structured data is what they're reading.

    At a glance:

    • A launch and discovery platform for SaaS and AI products
    • Built so AI search engines can read and recommend your product
    • Permanent product pages, no expiration after launch day
    • Real user reviews and founder replies on every product page
    • A founder community for support, feedback, and connection
    • Free to list, free to launch

What You Get When You Launch

    Every founder gets:

A permanent product page with a permanent URL. No expiration, no archive after launch day. Every backlink, share, and reference to it keeps working.

Structured data (Schema.org JSON-LD) on every page. SoftwareApplication, Offer, Review, Organization, FAQPage. AI crawlers can read your product without you writing any markup.

A private AI Crawlability Score on your product page. Tells you whether AI crawlers (GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, OAI-SearchBot) can read your own site. Free for every founder, on every plan.

Reviews, founder replies, product updates, and Q&A on every product page. When regularly updated, they create recency signals. AI crawlers re-index your page over time and prioritize content that keeps changing.

A public, AI-readable founder community. Ask questions, get feedback, and engage with other founders. Because the community is public and indexed by AI crawlers, every post and comment becomes part of the content AI search engines can pull from when buyers ask for tool recommendations or advice.

Automatic entry into the monthly Launch Sprint. Top three winners each month get a permanent Founder Spotlight interview on the blog. Open to every founder on every plan.

Email notifications sent to users following your category and your product. Your launch and your updates reach people who already said they are interested in tools like yours.

A do-follow backlink to your site on paid plans. Contributes to your domain rating as the SaaS Hive domain grows in authority.

What you put in: ongoing engagement compounds. Founders who actively respond to reviews, ship visible product updates, and stay engaged in the community give AI crawlers the strongest sustained recency signal. The platform's value scales with your activity.

    Why Launch on SaaS Hive?

SaaS Hive is built around a community of SaaS founders who are building, launching, and growing at the same time. Launch when your product is ready and engage with the community as you go, or use the community before you launch to share progress, ask for feedback, and post Build in Public updates. Every interaction accumulates as a trust signal for both buyers and AI search engines.

Built for Three Growth Opportunities at Once

Your product page works on three fronts simultaneously.

    For AI search engines.

SaaS Hive gives AI crawlers what they prioritize: structured data carrying a recency signal. Your page accumulates fresh, AI-readable input through reviews, founder replies, product updates, community engagement, Launch Sprint participation, and Founder Spotlight interviews. The founder community itself is public and AI-readable, so your posts and comments there add a second AI-indexed surface where buyers and AI search engines can find you, alongside your product page. Each piece is something AI crawlers can read on a subsequent visit, which keeps your product current in their index instead of going stale.

    For people looking for tools.

Users find your product by browsing categories, by buyer profile (solo founders, marketing agencies, technical teams), by direct search (for example, "best AI writing tools" or "best CRM for startups"), and by checking new and trending launches. Anyone with an account can subscribe to category and product notifications, so your launch and your updates reach people already searching in your space.

For your own SEO, GEO, and DR.

    • SEO. Your SaaS Hive product page is a permanent, schema-rich page that ranks in search engines for your brand name, category, and buyer-intent queries. Buyers searching Google find you on SaaS Hive, then click through to your site.
    • GEO (Generative Engine Optimization). The same page is built for AI search engines to read and cite when buyers ask for a tool in your category.
    • DR (Domain Rating). The Founder Spotlight interview and paid plans include do-follow backlinks from your product page on SaaS Hive to your site, which contributes to your DR as the platform's authority grows.

The value doesn't stop on launch day

After you launch, SaaS Hive keeps working for you. Your product page is built with structured data that AI search engines can read and cite. Your reviews keep accumulating. Your community engagement keeps generating fresh signals.

The way people search for tools is changing fast. 51% of B2B software buyers now start their research with an AI chatbot more often than with Google (G2, April 2026). 85% of buyers think more highly of a software vendor when AI includes them in an answer (G2, April 2026). And AI search traffic converts at 14.2% versus 2.8% for traditional Google organic, a roughly 5x conversion advantage (Exposure Ninja, March 2026).

SaaS Hive's recommendation engine continues to surface your product to website visitors based on their interests. Your reviews keep building trust. Your ranking keeps improving. Every link anyone ever shared to your page keeps working.

The more reviews you collect, the more you engage, and the more you keep your page updated, the more people find you.

    What Happens After Launch Day?

On most platforms, launch day is the peak. You get one day of visibility, and then the algorithm moves on to tomorrow's launches.

SaaS Hive is designed for the opposite pattern. Even after launch day exposure ends, your product page stays public and keeps its permanent URL. Your ranking in category listings keeps improving as you collect more reviews, saves, and engagement. You continue to appear in roundup pages, comparison pages, and search results. And your structured product data keeps feeding AI search engines in the background, so you can be recommended to people searching for tools like yours.

The work you put in keeps paying off long after launch day.

    Your AI Crawlability Score

When you log into your product page on SaaS Hive, you see a private AI Crawlability Score for your own site. It tells you whether AI crawlers (GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, OAI-SearchBot) can actually read your site when they visit.

Most sites built on modern JavaScript stacks (Lovable, Bolt, v0, Replit, Cursor) return a near-empty page to AI crawlers, even when they look perfect to a human. That means when a buyer asks ChatGPT for the best tool in your category, your product is mathematically impossible to recommend, no matter how good your site looks.

If your score is low, you can run a full crawlability and visibility report through the Unhid integration to see exactly what needs fixing. No buyer or other founder sees the score. It is for you.

Most founders never check this. Free for every founder, on every plan.

What We Can and Cannot Promise

We cannot promise you will appear in a specific AI engine's answer to a specific buyer query. Nobody can promise that. The outcome depends on factors no platform controls: product quality, market timing, the user's exact query, and the engine's current weighting.

What we can promise: your product page will give AI crawlers and AI search engines the structured, current information they need to consider your product. And a private score telling you whether your own site is readable to AI crawlers in the first place. Both are necessary conditions for being recommended. Without them, being recommended is not possible.

    What's Free, What's Paid

SaaS Hive is free to list, free to launch, and free to be discovered. The Free plan gets you a full product page, one category, community reviews and your founder replies, your AI Crawlability Score, SaaS Hive embed badges, eligibility for Trending rankings, structured data for AI search, and entry into the monthly Launch Sprint.

Paid plans add more surfaces for founders who want to invest more in their visibility. Starter ($9/mo) adds a second category for your product, the ability to pin your best review to the top, and to post external links in the community. Growth ($29/mo) adds a third category placement, eligibility for our curated category roundups (for example, "Best AI writing tools" or "Best CRM for startups"), and a monthly visibility boost.

Three add-ons are available to founders on any plan: a Founder Spotlight ($99 one-time) editorial interview on the blog, a Comparison Article ($149 one-time) showing what makes your product different from your competitors, and a Sponsored Placement ($49/mo per category). Full details on the pricing page.

The Comparison Article is a magnet for AI citations. When buyers ask comparison questions in your category, like "Notion vs Airtable" head-to-heads or "best alternatives to Slack" searches, comparison-format content is exactly what AI search engines pull from. This add-on gives your product the best chance of being cited.

What Do I Need to Do to Begin?

Getting started takes less than 10 minutes. Here's the path:

    1. Create your product page. Go to "My Products" in your Founder Dashboard and start building. You'll fill in your product name, tagline, description, screenshots, features, pricing, and "Best For" tags. Your page starts out private, visible only to people you share the link with.

    2. Write your founder bio. Go to "Founder Profile" in your sidebar. Add a personal bio, your social links, and tell people why you build what you build. This shows up in the "Meet the Team" section on your product page and on your public founder profile.

    3. Check your AI Crawlability Score. Once your product page is set up, view it as the owner. You'll see your private AI Crawlability Score on the page. If it's low, run the Unhid audit and fix your site before launch. This is the single highest-impact pre-launch action.

    4. Read the Founder's Guide to Getting Discovered. Before you launch, read this guide. It walks you through every section of your product page and explains how to set it up for maximum discoverability by both humans and AI search engines. It also covers how to collect reviews, how to engage with the founder community, and how to make the most of launch day.

    5. Collect your first reviews. Share your private product page link with people who've used your product: beta testers, early users, friends, fellow founders. Every review you collect is social proof for two audiences: people deciding whether to try your product, and AI search engines deciding whether to recommend it. Reviews collected within the month of your launch also count toward your Launch Sprint ranking.

    6. Join the founder community. Click "Founder Community" in the top right of your dashboard. Introduce yourself. Post an update about what you're building, ask for feedback, or share what you're learning. Comment on other founders' posts. The community is public and readable by AI search engines, so your activity adds a second surface where buyers and AI can find you, alongside your product page.

    7. Launch. When your product page is complete, you can schedule your launch. On launch day, your page goes public, all users subscribed to your category receive an email, and your product gets featured in the New Launches section on SaaS Hive.

That's the whole path. Build your page, check your score, collect reviews, connect with founders, launch.

    Our Mission

Our job is to make sure ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude, and the buyers they advise have a structured, readable, current source to find you in.

What Do I Do If I Have Questions?
