Found a bug on product hunt, made me think about trust issues these small things cause
15 days into product hunt, still new to all this and already found a bug. refresh your own post enough times and the view count keeps climbing, that's not a new viewer, that's just me hitting refresh.
Small thing, but stuff like this quietly damages trust once people notice, especially on a platform where rankings actually matter.
Honestly was shocked, this platform's been around for years and somehow nobody caught this yet.
Made me think about saas hive too. i know how hard it actually is to build a platform like this from scratch, so no shade at all.
But if someone from the team is reading this, genuinely just want to say, invest in a good QA tester early. small bugs like this are the kind of thing that quietly chip away at trust before anyone even realizes why.
not complaining about either platform, just think this stuff deserves attention before it becomes a bigger trust issue.

Most of us here try to release validate product idea asap. The product might not be perfect. There might be lots of improvements to make but we still launch to see if it takes off and how early users use it.
And if the business idea is validated and it makes sense to continue with this product, we make these improvements in little iterations as we move on.
SaaS Hive is 4 months old. There is lots of items on todo list. But the product view counter could should work well. If you refresh the page multiple times it will not increment your product view count 🙂.

Good to know saas hive's counter works correctly, that mixup was on me for not being precise.
No issue with saas hive at all honestly, being 4 months old and this responsive already says a lot.
The bug i actually found was on product hunt. what surprised me is pH's been around since 2013, over a decade and something this basic (refresh inflating view count) still hasn't been caught.
That's the part i genuinely didn't expect. makes way more sense on a 4 month old platform than on one this established.
