It differers for every single websites. But in general SEO and these days GEO is very important. We should certainly make our websites crawlable by Search and AI crawlers.

Otherwise our website is simply invisible to them and we lose lots of potential traffic and customers.

It is true that crawlability comes first. Even if a page has the proper schema, it won’t matter if Googlebot or AI search crawlers can neither access nor read the main content of the page.
