Marketing and sales need the same message

Agree 100%. If we’re talking about teams, in my experience, marketing teams can sometimes get too creative to the point where the end user has no idea what the messaging is actually trying to say. Sales teams, on the other hand, can go too far in the “buy my stuff” direction and come across as overly salesy.

I believe sales goals should be at the core of any marketing messaging, but the messaging should also be rooted in consumer psychology. That’s how marketing and sales can work in synergy while still being clear and compelling to the end user.
