Marketing is often treated like a support function. Something “nice to have.” Easy to cut when things get tight.

That thinking is exactly why most businesses struggle to grow.

Marketing is what makes people remember you. It’s what builds recall, shapes perception, and quietly plants your brand in a prospect’s mind long before they’re ready to buy. When that moment comes, they don’t discover you… they remember you.

But here’s the irony-when business slows down, marketing is the first thing to go. When in reality, that’s when you should be doubling down. Because the moment you stop, all the momentum you’ve built starts fading. And restarting later? You’re not picking up where you left off, you’re starting from zero.

Consistency isn’t optional in marketing. It’s the whole game.

The businesses that understand this stay visible, stay relevant, and stay in the market. The ones that don’t? They quietly disappear.

That’s exactly why I started ShikhaShikz Marketing, to shift how marketing is seen: not as a cost center, but as the engine that drives growth.

This is the third year of the business, and we are evolving as a team, bringing life to our creative+tech expertise. You will soon see "Marketing Budget Calculator" live here!

Hey Shikha! The "restarting from zero" point really hits. So many founders learn that the hard way. A marketing budget calculator sounds super practical too, especially for early stage founders who are trying to figure out where to put their first dollars.
