I’m Arisht, founder of BreakGround—and author of “Design Alchemy: Understand Your User & Build Great Solutions.”

While working on products (and writing the book), one thing kept bothering me:
Products are getting more powerful.
But not easier to use.

Users miss features and get confused.
Onboarding takes weeks to build.
And users rely on docs and support to explain what should’ve been obvious.

Most tools help you build onboarding.
But they still require a lot of manual effort.

So I started exploring a different idea:
What if AI could build onboarding for you?

That’s what BreakGround does.

You connect your product (via demo credentials), and AI:
• understands your UI
• detects key user actions
• generates onboarding flows, tooltips, and in-app guidance
• maintains it over time as the UI changes
• Allow end-users to generate flows on-the-fly by just asking the chatbot

No complex builders. No manual setup.
Just AI doing the heavy lifting. You just preview and publish.

Hey Arisht, I'd love to try this! I've built onboarding flows for four different products now and every single time it's the same struggle: you think you know your user, then you watch them get lost on step two. The idea of AI generating flows based on the actual UI instead of me guessing what users need is really appealing. What would make it a no-brainer for me? If it could learn from where users drop off and adjust the flow automatically. Is that on your roadmap?

Hm... That's interesting... I will need to give it a try. At first I thought that AI will generate an onboarding flow for me to see as an idea - to give me inspiration of what is possible to create. Hut this phrase here "You just preview and publish." made me thinking - Where will it publish it? 🤔

1- Will an onboarding demo video be created?
2- What if I am not happy and need some tweaks? will that be easy

Trust me running a marketing company, and producing multimedia content, i have experienced that first output is close to awesome, but when tweaks are needed, that's where the patience is tested.

Publishing. I would not try automated in the beginning, as definitely I would need human intervention before anything goes live, but maybe once I am confident that the model is trained enough, I might switch to it. Happy to chat and in case you need any hand holding on positioning/ messaging later :-p

Hi Shikha,
1. It will generate onboarding in-app guides, not a video
2. If you are not happy with the generated content, you have full power to tweak it manually. I can understand that sometimes edits are needed, and we have made it in a way that you can always preview it, make any changes if required, and then publish it.
