Where does AI visibility belong in your product stack?

I’m curious how founders, marketers and owners of online businesses see this.

We already pay for things like hosting, databases, analytics, email, CRM, SEO, paid acquisition, security and AI tools. But where would you place GEO / AEO / AI visibility — the ability to understand whether AI systems mention, recommend or overlook your product?

Which of these feels closest today?

    • A core growth channel we should already be measuring

    • A useful SEO extension, but not a separate category

    • An experimental tool for early adopters

    • Something mainly useful for agencies or larger companies

    • Not a priority for my business yet

And how would you rank your own Top 5 product or growth priorities right now?

You can reply in this format:

    1. [e.g. Product / hosting / analytics / SEO / email / sales / AI]

Where, if anywhere, would AI visibility fit in that list?

One more honest question: if a tool showed your real buyer questions, AI answers, recommended alternatives, cited sources and practical next steps, what would you consider a reasonable monthly price for it?

I’m not looking for a “correct” answer. I’m interested in how SaaS founders, agencies, e-commerce brands and other online products actually prioritize this today — before the category becomes full of assumptions.

I think GEO / AEO / AI visibility is as important as ordinary analytics. Website owners always new that SEO is extremely important. Well now SEO has changed into GEO / AEO / AI visibility.

In my opinion, an online business will struggle to survive without it.

Thanks Sergey — I agree that, as buyers increasingly ask AI for recommendations, this becomes an important measurement layer alongside analytics and SEO.
I see it less as SEO being replaced, and more as the customer journey gaining another surface: a buyer question → an AI answer → the products and sources that get surfaced.
The practical challenge now is turning that into a repeatable signal founders can act on, rather than another vanity metric. What would be the first AI-visibility metric you would want to see in a regular business dashboard?

I’d probably put AI visibility in the “useful SEO extension, but not a fully separate category yet” bucket.
For most early-stage SaaS founders, my Top 5 would look something like:
Product / retentionDistribution / customer acquisitionAnalyticsSEO / contentEmail / lifecycle
AI visibility would probably sit inside #4 for now, but I can see it becoming its own growth category if AI-driven discovery keeps increasing.
The main thing that would move it higher on my priority list is proof that the data leads to action. I’d care less about a generic visibility score and more about questions like: Which buyer queries am I missing? Which competitors are being recommended instead? What sources are shaping those answers? What specific change should I make next?
For pricing, I think the answer depends heavily on the depth of the recommendations. If it’s mainly monitoring and reporting, I’d personally expect something around $20–50/month for an early-stage SaaS. If it consistently gives specific, high-confidence actions that can influence acquisition, then $75–150/month starts to feel more reasonable.
I also think there’s a big difference between founder pricing and agency pricing. Agencies can justify a much higher monthly price because they’re monitoring multiple clients and turning the insights directly into billable work.
The four questions I’d be most interested in are: how you prove that AI visibility changes are meaningful rather than model variance, how often founders actually need to check the data, whether you can connect visibility changes to traffic or conversions, and what makes this meaningfully different from adding AI-result tracking into an existing SEO platform.
