How did you get your first 10 users? The real version
For the Fabify app, my first users were friends I basically begged into trying it. I literally texted people "can you just try it and tell me what you think, please." That was my growth strategy.
For SaaS Hive, I'm finding founders on Product Hunt and LinkedIn and just starting conversations. One person at a time. No automation, no sequences. I look at what they built, I write something specific to them, and I hit send. Some days I talk to 20 people and hear back from 3.
It's slow but I'm learning things about what founders actually need that I never would have learned from an analytics dashboard.
I want to hear your first-10 story. The real one. How did those first people end up using your product?

To get my first users for SimploMail I used the "Build in public" approach. I posted about it on Twitter and LinkedIn as I was building it. Then, when I was ready to launch, I announced that I am giving away 10K email sends free of charge in return for feedback. From that activity along I got 50+ registered users. Although, not a single one provided me with a feedback as promised 😒. Basically staying active in the online community, posting regularly about my product and the journey, interacting with other founder posts helps me to move it forward.
