Your applications log themselves. Every job ad you score and every CV you tailor writes its own record. You never fill in a tracker, because that is where every tracker dies by week 3. You add one thing: what happened. Declined, interview, offer.

Then you find out why. A role goes quiet after a tailored CV, you run the triage on that one application: was it a fit gap, a writing problem, or just noise? Not everything is a lesson, and knowing which is which saves you rewriting a CV that was never the issue. That runs from your first decline, no history needed.

Then you see the pattern. Once 8 outcomes are logged, run the retrospective across your whole search. Which roles you actually convert. What the ones that said no had in common. Whether your own judgement at the point of applying is worth anything.

A deliberate constraint on that last one: the retrospective will not run below 8 records. It tells you it does not have enough yet. A conversion rate off 3 applications is a number, not a finding, and a tool that guesses early and gets it wrong once never gets trusted again.

Why I built it: I ran that retro by hand on my own 47 applications. Where I met the core requirement of the role I converted at 71%. Where I was stretching, 8%. My own confidence score at the point of applying predicted nothing at all. Months aimed at the wrong half of the market, and no tool I was paying for could have told me, because none of them held my history.
