I’m launching StoreOpps for ecommerce owners who receive plenty of generic advice but still do not know what to fix first. The free Store Scan checks a public storefront and turns the findings into a prioritized list. Each item shows the exact URL and element behind it. Findings are also labelled as confirmed, not detected, or could not verify, because custom themes and apps can hide content from crawlers. The hardest part was learning to separate absence from lack of evidence. An early merchant told me that vague items such as ‘improve SEO’ or a 0–100 score get ignored. They wanted a checkable location, an honest confidence level, and an order based on likely business importance. That feedback led me to remove unsupported revenue claims and show crawl coverage, tested URLs and timestamps.StoreOpps launches here tomorrow. I’m looking for five founders who run or advise an ecommerce store and are willing to challenge one scan. No store admin access or customer data is needed for the public scan.My question: when an automated audit flags a problem on your store, what minimum evidence must it show before you would act on the recommendation?
Hi everyone — I’m Angelo, a solo founder from Brazil building StoreOpps.StoreOpps helps ecommerce owners turn storefront and operational data into prioritized opportunities. The free scan reviews a public store and ties each finding to a specific URL, element, and verification status. Deeper analysis uses the merchant’s own exports to examine margin, inventory, discounts, and repeat purchases.I started it because most audit tools give merchants broad scores and advice such as ‘improve SEO’ without showing what to change first. Feedback from a Shopify merchant sharpened the product this week: if a crawler cannot verify something, we now say so instead of presenting it as missing.I’m currently working on customer discovery and making the first recommendation useful without explanation. For founders who run or advise ecommerce stores: what makes you trust an automated audit enough to act on its first finding?
