What is PolicyWatcher?
PolicyWatcher is an independent civic-tech platform for citizens, SMEs, DPOs, researchers and governance teams inspecting changes in public policies. It records retrieval state and source evidence, separates configured, retrieved, baseline, public and analysed stages, and adds bilingual AI-assisted screening only after a change qualifies for publication. Every record keeps links, timestamps, provenance and limits visible. Coverage is configured, not exhaustive; outputs are not legal advice.
What it solves
- Policy changes are difficult to reconstruct after the source page is updated.
- Missing scans or unavailable sources can be mistaken for evidence that nothing changed.
- AI summaries often omit provenance, timestamps and uncertainty.
- Review teams spend time rebuilding source and version histories manually.
How it works
- Monitors a configured set of public policy sources and records retrieval evidence.
- Separates retrieval, baseline, publication and analysis states so gaps stay visible.
- Publishes detected changes with source links, timestamps and versioned evidence.
- Adds bilingual AI-assisted screening after evidence gates, with limits shown.
